Walrus Makes A New Friend - Pale Blue Plastics

As you can imagine, manufacturing products in-house can create a lot of unwanted waste. In our endeavors to recycle as much as possible, we have found there are certain plastics most recyclers will not take. Until now! One of our builders, Mia Angelo, took up the mantle of finding someone to take these plastic leftovers. @paleblueplastics, a local OKC recycler, now picks up our bubble wrap waste and gives it new life.

Check out this video they made of the process. Sound on for some ASMR goodness.

“We are currently processing the plastic from Walrus into sheets, much like the one in the video,” said Stephen of Pale Blue Plastics. “We are getting new equipment soon, including a vacuum former to mold the plastic into various forms and pieces so that we can further our goal to reduce plastic waste by refashioning it into everyday household items, up-cycled art, and furniture!”

We are excited about this new friendship with Pale Blue and look forward to making the world a more sustainable place with them!
