This pedal can be used to replaced 3-4 pedals on your board. Gnarly distortion tone that cleans up beautifully with your volume control. Massive reverb swells in ambient mode. Pseudo-delay tones with the reverse mode. Nice warbly modulation. If your lookin to fill a lot of sonic territory in a single pedal, this thing will impress. You can also use a short decay with a full-wet signal for a makeshift auto-volume swell. I even like using it with my Bass VI
My only gripe with the pedal is due to the multi-functionality of the foot switches, the pedal clicks on and off when you RELEASE the footswitch rather than push down on it. Necessary evil of the hold functions present on really any pedal designed like this. I'm sure I'll get used to it though. Only other thing is the switched controls do leaving me pining for the "in-between" settings, but you know what they say; "limitation breeds creativity"
So far my favorite setting on this is a nice big ambient reverb tone at the end of my signal chain with the distortion quite low. This way you can get clean reverb tones out of it, but as you start to push it with boost/drive pedals, the reverb begins to saturate in a really pleasing way. Plus if you want a little extra grit or 'verb the joystick is very usable with your feet, albeit with a little practice. Not much else out that that can do what it does
Hey Max! You might have a defective unit. Someone will reach out to you soon to doublecheck about the bypass switch. Thank you! - Walrus Audio
