Great build quality.
Purchased based on perceived ease of use and repeatabilty. But fell short for a couple reasons.
My use is with 2 duplucate setups at different locations. I always get 2 of everything I use.
The 3db preset points seamed really great to have repeatability in each setup compared to standard linear pots. But the internal mid adjustment scheme kills that notion. To start, the 2 pedals came set different. Trying to dial in a favorite sound was tedious. But what really proved next to impossible was to try and make both pedals be the same. Round and round with frequency centers, Q and even output level.
It was just hours of frustration. I have a great ear.... But I would need to spend $500 on a spectrum analyzer to make these usable. Make them Consistant from 1 pedal to the next.
I would note that my use is in a loop. Subtle changes are drastic or noticable to day the least. A single unit in the front end of an amp would be more forgiving. Expecially if 1 unit was not ever compared to another. But not in my use.
It would be better set up with dip switch adjustments vs trim pots.
Great idea. An improvement on version 1 defcon. But not there yet. I went with Orange Two Stroke's (freakin great) and these just sit on shelf. Probably Reverb them if I never get the urge to replace trim pots with fixed resistors of choice.
Thanks for the heads up Steve! I'll mention this to the build team and see what may have happened. -Tyler
